My Life Among the Indians

Everyone has dreamed at least once in their life of moving to distant lands and starting life anew; unlike many, James Willard Schultz realized his dreams.

As a young man, he left the "civilized world" and went to the Wild West in search of romance and adventure.

Schultz quickly became one of his own among the Pikuni Indians, one of the tribes of the Blackfoot nation.

He happily adopted their way of life, customs, and habits: he discovered the thrill of hunting and military expeditions and married a lovely girl who became his faithful companion.

The majestic expanses of the prairies with herds of bison grazing on them, a simple yet courageous life filled with freedom and true male friendship unfolds before us in the captivating stories told by the author and his numerous heroes.
