Fifteen-year-old Vera is going to a chess tournament in Sochi. She dreams of justifying the hopes of her coach and parents, but she doesn't believe in herself at all, so during the excursion, she makes a wish at an ancient... dolmen — to become famous even for just one day. The wish seems to start coming true, however, for an ultimate victory, Vera needs to beat her roommate, Sveta, who will be severely punished at home for losing. Sveta dreams of escaping to Moscow with the prize money and gaining freedom from her parents' expectations. The girls' stories intertwine.
