Vladimir Alekseevich Gilyarovsky (1855–1935) — a Russian writer, journalist, a legend of Moscow and its chronicler, author of the famous book "Moscow and Muscovites" (1926). Gilyarovsky became known as the "king of reporting," becoming one of the best chroniclers of his time.
