The action of the novel takes place in 1938, in that period described in the tenth volume of the History of the Russian State "Destruction and Resurrection of the Empire". It is not accidental that the covers of these two... books look so similar.
"A novel with a deciphering" – this is the author's definition of the genre to which this book belongs.
It is somewhat similar to "tricks with exposure". The artistic part is followed by a factual one, which helps to understand where the boundary lies between fiction and history; to find out what is invented and what was actually true. And it turns out that much that seems fictional is a fact, and the real prototypes are no less astonishing than literary characters.
