The Middle East. The Eternal Conflict

The Middle East, the cradle of three world religions, is once again ready to set the agenda for the planet for decades to come. The hotspots of eternal conflicts have intensified: even those countries once considered peaceful are igniting. The peoples who have divided this dangerous region for ages have accumulated too many grievances against each other. Why should Russians care about the relations between Turks and Kurds or the war in distant Yemen? At the very least, because what happens there is closer than it seems: take some time to find out how many kilometers it is from your city to any Middle Eastern country — the numbers will surprise you, especially compared to distances within Russia.
