The Thirteenth Mara

I am the thirteenth of the mar. The strongest or the weakest - the truth remains undefined. Behind me lies a mistake that cost people their lives. To try to rectify at least part of what has happened, I, according to the old Veda, must find the strongest man among the living - "strong not from the outside, but from within," - after which everything will change.
Would I agree to step on the difficult path, knowing that I would meet Sidda Arkein - a descendant of the Ancient Inquisitors, a man who hates witches? Would I maintain my resolve, understanding that he would put me through a true purgatory, that we would walk side by side in the most terrifying place for the mar - the Cursed Mire? However, when redemption is at stake, the choice is no longer between fighting for the truth or remorse. We have a common enemy and a common "reward," and therefore, opposing each other out of hatred makes no sense. As long as fate takes a turn for the better, the price does not matter. And so - yes, I would agree.
