Efrael Stern is known throughout the tormented Galaxy by many names.
Three-born.
Anti-demon.
The Holy Heretic.
Having become lost deep in the heart of the Imperium-Nihilus after the onset of the Great Rift, the slandered Sister of Battle fears that the state of humanity... has ceased to exist. The light of the God-Emperor, which guided her through centuries of battle, has also gone out. Abandoned by all, Stern drags the existence of a loner until a mysterious stranger arrives, offering her a new fate — possibly promising salvation for the Imperium.
Stern must once again prove that she is worthy of the God-Emperor's mercy. Otherwise, a new danger — more serious than any humanity has faced before — will plunge mankind into a nightmarish abyss of non-being.
