Halgrim Helgason (born 1959) is one of the most famous contemporary Icelandic writers, a laureate of many literary awards, and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France (2021). He was awarded the national literary prize for the novel "The Author of Iceland" (2001). His books "101 Reykjavík", "Ten Household Tips for a Hired Killer", "A Woman at 1000 °C", and "Sixty Kilograms of Sunshine" have been published in Russian.
