Whirlpool

Not far from the town of Buda in Northern Norway, something strange is happening: ancient porcelain dolls appear on the shore, attached to wooden rafts, and then - a beaten girl unconscious, dressed like one of the dolls. At the... same time, boys find a man submerged in icy water on the coast, whose hands are chained to a stone, and then another victim of an unknown criminal appears. The investigation is taken on by police officer Rino Carlsen, who will have to unravel a whole chain of horrific crimes. F. Granhus's novel is a vivid example of Scandinavian detective fiction, where the plot keeps the reader in suspense until the last page and does not allow them to put the book down. It is a story about how love turns into obsession, which knows no bounds and moral principles, blurs the line between good and evil, and drives one insane.
