This book is for everyone who has ever forgotten the events of the previous evening, woke up with a hangover or with unidentified bruises, for anyone who let slip too much or cringed while watching footage from a party they... attended. This is an honest story about two modern women who decided to give up alcohol for a year, and what came of it.
What resulted is a unique encyclopedia of the reasons why we actually drink. There will be no loud derogations or attempts to shame those who enjoy wine shop products. We simply decided to explore why people drink and whether alcohol is truly essential in everyday life.
Despite the painful topic, this book turned out to be joyful, hopeful, and at times funny. It’s about you, about me, and where the road can lead if you just try a new route. It's about finding oneself and the path to oneself. And whether to decorate that path with alcohol or something else will always remain your choice.
