Quarantine. A Fantastic Tale

The main character, Alexander Dahl, is one of the crew members of a spaceship sent to search for intelligent life in the Universe. However, before making contact with the discovered civilization, Alexander must undergo Quarantine: relive lost memories and see them in a new light.

Otherwise, for example, our prayers for the deceased would be pointless, as what is the use of asking God for a posthumous change in the fate of a sinful soul and granting it blissful rest with the saints if such a possibility were not real? In Holy Tradition, there are many examples where the fate of those prayed for has changed in Eternity due to the prayers of righteous people. And a person's fate can change only as a result of changing the state of his soul, under the influence of the divine power of the grace of the All-Holy Spirit of God, capable of producing in the human soul "metanoia" — repentance.
