Dreaming of Venice

Penny Lane dreams of an exhibition of her paintings in a famous gallery and of Venice. At night, in her dreams, she strolls through the streets of this beautiful city and rides a gondola, while during the day she returns to her joyless existence: working in a cheap London café and feeling lonely, as she recently broke up with her boyfriend. But Penny's life takes a dramatic turn when she saves a baby whose stroller rolls towards an oncoming train and gets her fifteen minutes of fame. A lady approaches her with an unusual proposal: to substitute for her boss Olivia at events and social receptions, who has fallen into depression after her father's death.
