Here, in the dark

I am alive as long as the curtain is not drawn... Vivian Perry loves the dark. It is hard to recognize her now — deeply corrupt, prone to self-destruction, whereas before she was a promising actress. Now she is a... theater critic who has to settle for only scathing reviews for a magazine. Hoping for a promotion, she agrees to an interview with a strange graduate student who disappears without a trace after their meeting, which puts Vivian under suspicion, as she is the last person to see him alive. Vivian does what she promised herself she would never do again: she plays her new role — that of an amateur detective. But the further the investigation goes, the more she realizes that everything is a production of an obsessed, yet incredibly talented puppeteer, in which she is destined to play the role of the victim. When the boundaries between theater and the real world finally blur, someone will have to die…
