The bed, the place to sleep, any sleeping spot — this is what accompanies a person throughout their life, from the moment of birth to death. In bed, we sleep, have sex, become ill, rest, and some rulers once received ambassadors and solved state problems.
Historian and world-renowned archaeologist Brian Fagan and author of several textbooks on archaeology Nadia Durrani have gathered an immense amount of research material on how sleeping places have changed over the millennia.
