Dersu Uzala

Vladimir Klavdievich Arsen'ev (1872—1930) was a geographer, writer, and traveler who filled in the blank spots on the map of the Far East. The plot of "Dersu Uzala" is based on the 1907 expedition in the Ussuri region, organized by the writer together with his friend, the Nanai hunter Dersu Uzala.
