"The Bird" is a very romantic and poignant story about love and friendship, about betrayal and the difficulty of choice, about finding oneself and one’s place in the world, which unfolds in ancient Russian settings. While working on the book, I was largely inspired by Slavic culture, ethnography, and history, so I hope it turned out to be not only entertaining but also somewhat educational. I really wanted to reconstruct and convey the atmosphere of this conditional historical period, trying to recreate the worldview of a person from that era, so special attention was paid to the stylization of the language and authenticity in terms of ethnography and everyday life.Despite the fact that the main character will have to go through serious trials, I hope that the story turned out to be bright and life-affirming, and that the reader will have a pleasant aftertaste, and, most importantly, hope that after the darkest night, dawn always comes.
