The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State

Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) is known in the history of human thought as one of the founders of Marxism, co-author of the philosophical and economic works of Karl Marx, including the famous "Capital" and "The Communist Manifesto". "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State" is one of Engels' most important works, in which the German philosopher offers a scientific concept of the history of humanity in its early stages of development, shows how class society was formed and what its characteristic features are, describes the peculiarities of family relations in various social formations, and also analyzes the origin and essence of the state.
