The story by Louisa May Alcott, the author of the beloved novels "Little Women," "Good Wives," and others, has been adapted in this edition using Ilya Frank's method: it is provided with a literal translation into Russian and necessary lexical-grammatical commentary (without simplifying the original text). The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs due to their repetition, without cramming and the need to use a dictionary.
