Psychiatry in the Faces of Patients. Diagnostically Ambiguous Clinical Cases in Psychiatric Practice

Usually, psychiatry is presented to the reader in the form of textbooks, monographs, scientific articles, where the author focuses on describing psychopathological symptoms, patterns of manifestation of various mental and behavioral disorders. Often, in the narrative about psychiatry, the person... suffering from mental illness is lost.

But there is another way to get acquainted with psychiatry: to study it through the prism of a specific patient, unique cases of illness, and to see behind the symptoms the face and soul. This approach is dedicated to the book "Psychiatry in the Faces of Patients." The book collects unusual, difficult cases for differential diagnosis from the lives of specific patients observed by us over the past years.
