Fazil Iskander is one of the greatest Russian writers of the 20th century, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation for his contribution to the development of national literature, laureate of the "Yasnaya Polyana" prize, the "Bolshaya Kniga" prize ("for honor and dignity") and many others.
