"Peter's Monsters" is the debut book by Vera Soroka, a novel in stories set in St. Petersburg. The real merges with the fantastic: together with ordinary Petersburg residents, this city is inhabited by monsters, transformed lions and lionesses, mermaids, nymphs, ghosts, and other fantastic creatures — all of them have become an integral part of it.
