Russian Poem

This book is an extensive commentary by Anatoly Naiman on the main, foundational Russian poems: "The Bronze Horseman" by A.S. Pushkin, "Frost, Red Nose" by N.A. Nekrasov, "The Twelve" by A. Blok, "Cloud in Trousers" by V. Mayakovsky, and "Poem Without a Hero" by A. Akhmatova. Each of these poems is not only new in relation to the previous one, but each time offers the opportunity for a new reading experience.
Naiman, like a guide, helps to approach the essence of these poetic texts that have been familiar to us since childhood, to rediscover each poem for oneself — and at the same time to "read this piece as the author read it, to see and hear it as he saw and heard it".
The edition was compiled and prepared by the author and is accompanied by the author's selection of illustrations that expand and complement the text's space.
