Desert Error

All her life, Lala was an outcast because of her appearance: she is taller than other people, with red hair and wild lynx eyes. One day, the girl learns that across the sea there are others like her. The Ashayns.... For the Ashayns, the Desert is what gives them life and beautiful gemstones that keep the country thriving. However, everything comes at a price. A common fate awaits all Ashayns: the Master of Death will deliver them to the Desert in exchange for precious stones. Lala knows nothing about the Desert, the Masters of Death, or the gemstones. She just wants to find her family. But will her homeland accept Lala? And what is more important: family or power?
