The autobiographical trilogy by Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy "Childhood. Adolescence. Youth" is one of the most significant works of Russian literature dedicated to the theme of growing up. The main character of the trilogy is by no means a model of perfection. He makes mistakes, gets tangled in relationships with relatives, friends, and loved ones, and he repeatedly makes the wrong choices. But it is precisely for this reason that his story - a story of sincere childhood friendship and love, of the first great sorrow and the initial failures of entering adult life - is interesting to our contemporaries, who recognize themselves in the boy from the distant 19th century.
