Catan has been swept by a wave of prosperity. Craft workshops, rural communities, and small towns are popping up here and there. Where... wild animals once roamed, majestic buildings now rise. Roads and bridges are protected by brave knights. But not everything is as good as it seems; news has recently emerged that barbarians are equipping warships for raids.

“Cities and Knights” is a major expansion to the popular game “Catan: Settlers of Catan.” Players will encounter new mechanics for building cities and erecting buildings. Additionally, players will need to summon knights to fight against treacherous barbarians. Discover your “Catan: Settlers of Catan” in a new way!

“Cities and Knights” has completely different rules. Getting used to them can be difficult at first, making the game even more exciting and engaging—especially since there are now goods in the game, and players have not just settlements but also cities!
The inclusion of barbarians has changed the entire game process—now, by rolling the dice, you can calculate their influence on your lands: you will receive bonus points for defeating them!

To protect against pirate raids, a city can be surrounded by fortifications, and one of the cities can even be declared a metropolis, allowing you to earn even more points.
Knights have been added, who will come to help if there are too many pirates, and their behavior leaves much to be desired. The main task of the knights is to fight and destroy the bandits, which they accomplish admirably. Throughout the game, the knights develop and become stronger!
