Buccaneers

Gustave Aimard was a French writer of the 19th century, recognized as a classic of the adventure genre. An adventurer by nature, he had extensive experience in sea voyages and dangerous expeditions to the countries of Africa, South and North... America, which later found reflection in his novels.
The novel "Buccaneers" invites the reader to Mexico in those distant times when Indian tribes fought for their freedom, launching destructive raids on Spanish settlements, while also being at odds with each other. Against such an explosive backdrop unfolds the dramatic love story of the renowned hunter Don Marcial and the young girl Anita de Torres, the daughter of a wealthy and influential man. But it is not only Anita's father who hinders the happiness of the lovers — Count Gaetan de Loral, who leads a powerful secret society of Dofiers, successors of the coastal brothers, stands in their way. The heroes face fierce battles, chases, kidnappings, betrayal, rescues from trouble, and even treasure hunts.
