Barefoot on the Grass

A strange friendship arose between the awkward thirteen-year-old Josie and the reclusive eighteen-year-old Samuel. She teaches him literature and music. He protects her. Each feels that they have found a kindred spirit. But both are growing up, and inevitably their paths diverge.
