Melinda Jones is seventeen, she loves horror movies and wants to become a film director, but her family doesn’t have the means to pay for university. Everything changes one morning when her rich mother's boyfriend invites them to his mansion... for the Christmas holidays. The Mortis family is incredibly friendly, so the guests feel at home from the very first day. But Melinda can't shake the feeling that there’s a catch to all of this. There are no servants in the mansion, the owners are behaving increasingly suspiciously, and her mother is changing beyond recognition.
