Murder in Chekhov's Sets

The actress Lionella Balandovskaya always dreamed of performing in a Chekhov production. And now the opportunity has come – the play "Uncle Vanya", in which she has one of the leading roles. However, things are not so simple in the... provincial theater that invited Balandovskaya. The small troupe is torn apart by internal conflicts, and, of course, no one from the locals was happy about the arrival of the capital's star. And then something unforeseen happened: during the performance of Gogol's "Viy", the coffin with the lady, flying over the stage, slipped from the cables and fell; actress Karina Kropotkina died... And this is not the first tragic incident at the theater: many years before, another servant of Melpomene, the young beauty Raisa Snegina, had died. It is her ghost, as the theater veterans believe, that has since haunted the actresses. Her husband persistently urges Lionella to give everything up and return home, but she is not going to retreat and is ready to participate in the investigation of both the new and the old crime...
