Galactic Odyssey

The cosmos in the works of the classic of domestic science fiction, Sergey Snegov, is well-explored and inhabited. An example of this is his famous and the first space opera in the history of Russian science fiction, "People as Gods,"... and many other works. But wherever the eternal yearning for the new and the quest for the secrets of the Universe leads the desperate representatives of humanity—be it the world of ammonia-breathing ants, as in the story "Galactic Odyssey," or into the amazing zeta-worlds where earthly physical laws do not apply ("Expedition into Another World"), or to the planet Garuna, struck by the bifurcation of time ("Chrononauts")—a person must above all remain human. Such was the life position of the writer, who experienced so much in his lifetime—from the camps in Solovki and Norilsk to attempts to erase his name from our literature.
