Life Under the Shotgun

In his office, the director of the liquor factory, Vladimir Ignatov, was killed with a sawed-off shotgun. Colonels of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Guryev and Krychko are proposing two versions of what happened. The first: a production conflict –... one of the dismissed employees had threatened Ignatov with retribution. And the second: revenge from dissatisfied accomplices of the director who participated with him in the embezzlement of the factory's products… In addition, the detectives were also interested in Ignatov’s suddenly disappeared mistress, whom he had carefully hidden. But the versions fell away by themselves when the husband of this person was found in the countryside, shot… with the same sawed-off shotgun that killed Ignatov.
