The young princess Ognislava sets off to distant Zeyazhsk to meet her destined one. To become the princess of a wealthy and noble family is the dream of many maidens, especially when the groom is young and handsome. However, her... relatives are not pleased, as the wealth of those lands came at a high price. An ancient winged serpent guards the city, predicting the future and destroying enemies. Once every six months, a young man or maiden is offered to the serpent as a gift. Anyone can become the monster's victim... Tormented by doubts, Ognislava seeks help from a witch, who predicts: "Your husband will never be a prince, you will betray him and bring about his ruin"! Will she really be the doom of her fiancé and the cause of many misfortunes? To avoid an unwanted fate, the princess must plunge a cursed blade into the heart of the one who wears a ring shaped like a steel serpent. But what if it is on the prince's hand?
