Everything I Wanted to Say

Whit Lancaster burst into my life like a storm. Cold, heartless, and incredibly beautiful, like the statues in the gardens of our private school—the school whose sign boasts his family's name. Here he is always right. This is his domain.... Whit is adored and feared. He is hated and respected. His taunts cut into my skin, tearing me apart. And yet, from his piercing gaze, my blood boils, and I am overwhelmed by an incomprehensible desire. One day, Whit protects me from bullies but ends up beaten. Bleeding. My instincts tell me to leave and let him suffer, but I can't. I wash his wounds. I believe his lies. I allow him to take complete control of me, but in the end, I find myself shattered and utterly bewildered. And then he leaves me alone in the night and takes my diary. Now Whit knows all my secrets. And he promises to use them against me. If my darkest secret is revealed, I’m finished. That’s when I make a deal with the devil. I allow Whit Lancaster to ruin me away from prying eyes.
