This story unfolds two years before the events of the main "Dune" through the eyes of two women who played outstanding roles in the life of Paul Atreides: Princess Irulan and the Fremen woman Chani.
The power of House Corrino is under threat: there is a mutiny in the army, provoked by the reckless actions of Shaddam IV. His daughters must handle the situation, primarily the heir princess Irulan, who faces a difficult task: not only to preserve the Empire and its interests but also to maintain her own voice amidst the intrigues of the Bene Gesserit, the Spacing Guild, and even her own sisters.
Meanwhile, Chani, the daughter of an imperial planetologist, along with her half-brother and a group of active youth, is desperately fighting for the independence of the Fremen and is also trying to realize her father's dream of a green Arrakis.
