Freshman

Seventeen-year-old student Sasha feels dizzy from the freedom that has fallen upon her with her university admission. A stream of new acquaintances, the unusual "you" from teachers, studying and falling in love, parties and celebrations – and every day brings... a discovery about herself, her relatives, friends, and random acquaintances. Life is so full of events that the heroine sometimes can’t believe in the reality of what’s happening.
 
With all her might, she tries to fend off a guy from her "rival", escape from gangsters over a fence, nearly perish in a snowy ravine while being oblivious to the true, faithful love beside her. "Freshman", like other books by Victoria Lederman, is filled with plot twists.
 
The series of adventures of the slightly reckless student is fascinating in itself, but what is especially interesting is how the events change the heroine and how she gains experience. On the last page, Sasha will say: "I understand nothing in this life" – and such words always prove the opposite.
