"Poetics" and "Rhetoric" are works of the great ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, which have had an immeasurable influence on the formation of traditions in art and literature. In "Poetics", Aristotle explores the nature of poetry, drama, and epic, identifying the... main elements of tragedy and comedy. "Rhetoric", on the other hand, is dedicated to the art of speech: effective methods of argumentation and persuasion, proper use of vocabulary, and the art of influencing the audience. Both treatises contain the foundations of eloquence and literary studies, which remain useful and are studied to this day.
