Development board game - Pet Five (Paws) in English. You can start playing "Paws" with children who are just beginning to distinguish "one" from "many." The game has three rule variations. In each of them, you can play with cards "up...
to three" or cards "up to five." For toddlers who are just starting to differentiate "one" from "many," select cards with animals from one to three. Once the child is comfortable with these, you can introduce cards with four and five animals.
The main task for the player is to find the card with the required number of critters. In the more challenging version of the rules, players race against each other to do this! As a result, the child has a pleasant task — to count the critters and quickly find the correct card. Over time, children learn to determine the number of critters as if "photographing" the card, and they no longer have to count each time.
Preparation for the game:
Cards are laid out on the table face up (9 cards when playing with "up to three" cards, 15 when playing with "up to five" cards). You will need a die with animals and a die with numbers. The player rolls two dice. The dice will determine which card with critters needs to be searched for and how many should be on the card. When the correct card is found, the player adds it to a common pile. The turn passes to the next player. If there are no cards on the table that meet the conditions rolled on the dice, the turn passes to the next player. The game ends when there are 3 cards left on the field. This is a team game, so all participants are considered winners. But there is also a more complex variant where critters need to be searched for speed ;)
