Alice leaves the magical field, but as is known, no one has yet managed to escape the terrible curse that descends upon Chesterfield and St. Barrington. Waking up in the hospital, Alice realizes that none of those present recognize her,... not even her own mother. Caught between illusion and reality, she desperately tries to find answers to her questions, but the more questions there are, the more dark secrets come to the surface. Refusing to give up, she does everything she can to attract the attention of the players, especially the black king Jackson. And she succeeds. But can everything really be so easy… when the white king Vincent is hot on her heels? To stop the curse, Alice will have to confront him, even if it means putting herself in checkmate.
