When Desmond is placed in the foster family of the Kerpers, he cannot hide his anger. This is yet another attempt by the shelter to find him a home, and he is sure that he will soon return — like... an unwanted package. Life in a wealthy family is a step towards his cherished dream of becoming a professional footballer. But his aspiration has a serious obstacle: his attraction to Anaïs, a girl who will likely become his sister. Anaïs makes him feel that he is worth something, that he is important and loved.
