The Dardanelles Squad

«The Dardanelles Squad» — is a spy novel with elements of horror, set in an alternate Serbia at the end of the 19th century. The main characters — are famous literary and historical figures: Sava Savanović, Koštana, Hajduk Stanko, Vukašin... Katić, Count Vronsky, and the badger from the story of Petar Kočić. The task of this unusual squad of secret agents is to thwart the plans of the Austro-Hungarian and German team, which includes Old Shatterhand, Josef K., Halef Omar, and The Brave Soldier Schwejk. Unexpectedly, they will be aided by The Lady of the Camellias, Pop Čira, and Pop Spira. Screenwriter Pavle Zelić and artist Dragan Paunović, in their debut album, turn to the classics of Serbian, German, French, Russian, and Czech literature to create a world of architectural and technological dreams of visionaries, but at the same time — a world of nightmarish horrors, inspired by myths and legends.
