What will a man not create in the pursuit of world domination! Obsessed with this mad idea, the Russian engineer Pyotr Garin steals from his mentor the latest invention - a laser cannon of unprecedented destructive power. And he decides to use it for world domination. Trying to gain the support of the American chemical king and billionaire Rolling, Garin passes himself off as his own double and, through deception, blackmail, and threats, achieves his goal. Now he has a whole island at his disposal, and the matter is almost settled. But will the engineer become a victim of his own ideals?
