Ironic Humoresques. Quanta of Laughter

We all know and love Nosov, who composed for children. Remember with what pleasure we read funny stories about Dunno from the Flower City and his nimble short friends or about boys and girls - mischief-makers and dreamers! All the heroes of Nikolai Nosov’s novels, stories and stories became our friends, we grew up with them, studied, played pranks...
But few people are familiar with Nosov, who writes for an adult reader. The writer’s rich literary heritage includes works that will introduce another facet of his unsurpassed talent - “Ironic Humoresques” and “Quanta of Laughter.” “Ironic Humoresques” is a collection of satirical essays in which the author, in his characteristic manner, reflects on completely different topics - how to raise children and how to treat parents, how to read books and how to write them, about literature, about bad habits, about life in general and about many other things that are definitely worth reading about. The treatise “Quanta of Laughter” is a unique literary study of the nature of laughter. Why do we laugh and what makes us laugh? Do we know how to laugh at ourselves and do we laugh at others? What forms does laughter take in art? What is a sense of humor anyway?..
The book presents photographs of Pyotr Nikolaevich Nosov, the son of N. N. Nosov, a TASS photojournalist, winner of many Russian and international exhibitions, such as InterPressPhoto and World Press Photo. In photography, Pyotr Nosov also developed a humorous theme, continuing the family tradition. Thanks to his talent and subtle sense of humor, he created a unique gallery of funny, touching, cheerful photographs.
