The Ring of the Nibelung

The collection contains the texts of four operas by Wilhelm Richard Wagner (1813-1883): "The Rhinegold", "The Valkyrie", "Siegfried", and "The Twilight of the Gods", forming the cycle "The Ring of the Nibelung". The acclaimed composer independently created these texts, relying on mythology and epic tales. The translations from German were done by Viktor Kolomiytsov. The edition is preceded by his preface, dedicated to the peculiarities of Wagner's drama translations. The book is adorned with illustrations by the famous British artist Arthur Rackham.
