Gennady Vladimirovich Kalinovsky (1929-2006) – illustrator, holder of numerous international awards, including the "Golden Apple" prize (1977). After graduating from the Surikov Art Institute in 1955, G. Kalinovsky initially drew for newspapers and magazines, and after some time, he turned to children's illustration, which brought him worldwide fame. In the fairy tales of K.
