Death in the Woods

Sherwood Anderson 1876–1941 — an American writer whose work influenced the development of American literature as a whole and the writing of Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner in particular. Anderson's stories revive the traditions of oral storytelling: his figures of... narrators, genuine in their bewilderment and attempts to relive and understand a pivotal moment in life through articulation, captivate with their plausibility and vulnerability. The collection includes eight stories by Anderson, written in different periods of the writer's life: "An Awakening", "The Dumb Man", "I Want to Know Why", "The Other Woman", "The Egg", "I'm a Fool", "Death in the Woods" and "Brother Death". The stories are published in English without abbreviations or adaptations.
