Judas Iscariot

Leonid Andreyev 1871—1919 is a popular Russian writer of the early 20th century. In his works, he raises eternal questions about the meaning of life, the relationship between good and evil, truth and delusion, the conscious and the unconscious in man. He does this sharply and ambiguously: his works have repeatedly become the subject of heated discussions, literary and social events not only in Russian but also in world literature.
