Deep beneath the Yorkshire valleys, a body has been discovered. The deceased is caver Dave Atkins, well known for his bad temper and wild lifestyle. And he has been murdered. There is no shortage of suspects, but the details of the crime leave leading investigator Detective Aldroid and his assistant from London, Officer Carter, baffled. How did Atkins' body end up so deep in the caves? The deceased couldn't have gotten down here by himself—no equipment was found with him. Let's assume he was dragged here after death... But why?
