The wandering merchant Lawrence, along with the Wise Wolf Holo, leaves Rübenheigen. In search of information about Holo's homeland and for successful trade, Lawrence decides to visit the bustling city of Kumersun.
In anticipation of the holiday, a large winter fair is taking place there. Upon arrival, the main characters meet a young fish merchant named Amati. The young man shows great interest in Holo and quickly gets close to her. At the same time, a rift is brewing between Lawrence and Holo.
It seems that the upcoming events will lead to a real commotion, affecting not only personal relationships but also the crafts of Amati and Lawrence.
