The Tale of the Serpent's Heart, or The Second Word on Yakub Shely

It is said that Yakub Shely, a simple peasant, cut his heart out of his chest and gave it to the girl who captured his heart. But nothing good came of it, for the girl was not simple, nor of... human kind. So Shely decided to change his fate, to become a master, not a servant, and for that he had to make a pact with the serpent people, descend into the underground kingdom to find the Serpent King. Only there, where real demons, witches, and heroes of ancient legends live, where pain can be torn from the body, where wonders lurk at every turn, where history meets myth, fairy tale - meets reality, and the heavy fate of humanity - meets magic, any desire can turn into a trap and lead to grief, or even real trouble, terrible, bloody, and inevitable.
