Two worlds, the real and the demonic, have existed side by side for thousands of years. The dark side of the city operates under its own rules, but if someone poses a danger, the Department of Mystical Investigations gets involved.
In Noirville, unrest is brewing again: an unknown killer is murdering magicians, leaving drained bodies. Fabian, one of the best employees of the Department, is assigned to uncover a series of mysterious and brutal murders. The vampire clan comes under suspicion, but is it really them? Fabian does not notice how he becomes addicted to magic and loses control over the Faceless. The sorcerer is being pulled deeper into the quagmire, and even Joan is unable to save him. Meanwhile, the servants of evil deal Fabian a final blow and awaken a power equal to that of the devil himself.
